What are symptoms of thyroid issues?

Problems with the thyroid can involve too much thyroid hormone (hyperthyroidism) or too little thyroid hormone (hypothyroidism). The symptoms of a thyroid issue can vary depending on how much thyroid hormone is present. Symptoms of an imbalance may be weight gain or loss, increased or decreased heart rate, the development of a goiter (an enlargement in your neck), lighter or heavier menstrual periods, increased sensitivity to cold, changes in energy or mood, and more. Both women and men deal with thyroid imbalances.

How we help with thyroid issues:

Getting your thyroid levels back to normal will make you feel better. We’ll probably recommend specific tests often overlooked by physicians that will give us an accurate picture of current hormone levels. Then, we take a holistic approach that includes diet, exercise, supplementation, herbs, and, sometimes, hormone replacement. You’ll work at your pace. Some people want to make many changes at once to feel better. Other people want to take a step at a time. We believe in working together to help you be and feel your best.
